Emmanuel Christian Center is located just south of Albany near the historic Hudson River, about 10 minutes from the intersection of I-90 and I-87. Check Yahoo!/Mapquest for directions from where you are, or consult the following:

Directions from the south

• Go north on I-87 (NYS Thruway) to Exit 23. Use exit ramp to Route 9W south.
• On Route 9W southbound, pass through traffic light at Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge; get in left-hand lane as you pass over the bridge; at next traffic light, turn left onto Route 32 (Big M Truck Stop will be on the left).
• Proceed down the hill and turn right onto Retreat House Road; just past "Emmanuel Christian Center," turn right and proceed to the rear of the Retreat House.

Directions from the north

• Go south on I-87 (Northway) to Exit 1E (I-90 eastbound). Take I-90 east to I-787 south. Follow I-787 up hill, around corner to end. At traffic light, take right onto Route 9W south.
• On Route 9W southbound, pass through traffic light at Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge; get in left-hand lane as you pass over the bridge; at next traffic light, turn left onto Route 32 (Big M Truck Stop will be on the left).
• Proceed down the hill and turn right onto Retreat House Road; just past "Emmanuel Christian Center," turn right and proceed to the rear of the Retreat House.

Directions from the west

• Exit I-90 (NYS Thruway) at Exit 24. Follow I-90 east to I-787 south (Albany). Follow I-787 to end. At traffic light, take a right onto Route 9W south.
• On Route 9W southbound, pass through traffic light at Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge; get in left-hand lane as you pass over the bridge; at next traffic light, turn left onto Route 32 (Big M Truck Stop will be on the left).
• Proceed down the hill and turn right onto Retreat House Road; just past "Emmanuel Christian Center," turn right and proceed to the rear of the Retreat House.

Directions from the east

• Take I-90 west (signs for Buffalo) to I-787 south (Albany). Follow I-787 to end. At traffic light, take a right onto Route 9W south.
• On Route 9W southbound, pass through traffic light at Howard Johnson's Motor Lodge; get in left-hand lane as you pass over the bridge; at next traffic light, turn left onto Route 32 (Big M Truck Stop will be on the left).
• Proceed down the hill and turn right onto Retreat House Road; just past "Emmanuel Christian Center," turn right and proceed to the rear of the Retreat House.

Retreaters typically bunk in pairs in cozy rooms which share a bath with another room. Our sleeping quarters accommodate around 50 people. We have 48 beds, which includes 7 bunks and 5 cots. Most rooms are double occupancy, with a shared bath; several share large bathrooms with a few other rooms. Two of our rooms house 4 beds (each of which includes one bunk). Depending on prior arrangements, groups of retreaters may bring their own linens and food, or pay a nominal per-person fee for these. (See Pricing below for more.)

Situated just outside Albany, the capitol of New York State, the natural, historic beauty of the Retreat Center is situated near a downtown area, featuring such attractions as the Pepsi Arena and the New York State Museum. The Center is just 45 minutes west of the Berkshires of Massachussetts, 45 minutes north of the scenic Catskill Mountains, an hour from the southern Adirondack Mountains (including Lake George and the Great Escape Amusement Park), and within 3 hours of Boston and New York City.
